10 reasons why Google can’t see my page

  1. Blocking the website from the server level

To check if the blocking of search engine robots is not on the server-side, open the .htaccess file. This type of blockage can also be verified in Google Search Console tools. If GSC downloads our site – it will mean that the problem should be looked for elsewhere.

  1. Robots.txt

If you can’t find your page on Google, maybe the robots.txt file is to blame. It is used to manage the traffic of robots. If your website contains content intended only for adults, it is worth checking if the Safe Search filter is not enabled in the Google search engine. If this is the case, there is a good chance that your website will be blocked in Google search results. It is enough to turn off the filter to make the page visible again.

  1. New domain

If you are using a freshly purchased domain where you just published your site and no links link to it, chances are Google doesn’t know about it at all! Unfortunately, Google is not (yet) omnipotent, and it is worth helping it a little bit in reaching new pages. Then I suggest you create an account in Google Search Console, verify domain ownership and ask Google to index it. You will probably see the effect after a few minutes.

  1. Malicious and unwanted software

Sometimes not having viruses or malware is not enough. If we have unsecured forms on the website that allow the posting of comments, this may negatively affect the site’s indexing. For example, if spambots find our site, we may be treated in the same way as the owners of infected sites. Google values the website’s transparency and security very much. If our website is even suspected that it contains scam (fraud) or spam, we will quickly fall to the last places in the ranking or be completely removed from the search results. To check if there are any security problems on the website – log in to Google Search Console and check the “Security problems” tab.

  1. No SEO

Every owner of a website wants it to be displayed in the top positions. But what if the page does not display, even after entering a keyword consisting of your brand and the word you care about? Then check your SEO! Make sure that:

  • there are no duplicate content on your website,
  • the website is optimized in accordance with google guidelines for webmasters ,
  • the content on the website is natural, useful and answers the user’s question
  • you have correctly entered the meta title tag.

In most cases, manual actions are related to attempts to manipulate the Google search index. The result of these actions of web admins not complying with the regulations is the lowering of the page’s position or even its failure to display. Manual actions can include :

  • unnatural links,
  • undisclosed redirects,
